Design Brief:

This recently renovated Freshwater home required some finishing touches to elevate the lounge, living, and dining areas. A stunning commission piece by Ash Holmes, titled “The Way The Ocean Falls,” perfectly captures light filtering through the ocean. Using a harmonious palette of golden tones, whites, sage, sky blues, and dark olive, it integrates seamlessly into the space, echoing nature and fostering a calming atmosphere. The previously empty wall is now vibrant with warmth and texture.

Custom shelving has been styled with a curated selection of decorative items and sentimental pieces, enhancing the overall aesthetic. To ground the lounge area, a large handwoven wool rug adds both texture and warmth, while timber and leather upholstered kitchen stools were chosen for their comfort and durability, perfect for the family to sit & enjoy.
